a little update

So many things have happened, and unfortunately I just am not good with taking pictures, or writing on here. Here are some pictures of a few things I snapped on my phone.
I never wrote about our car we got! We bought a 2011 Kia Forte back in Nov! Its been good for us, except for when it decides that it doesn't want the cruise control to work, and this morning Jeff said that it got stuck in 4th gear. I took it into the Dealership, and they said they haven't found any of the problems we've told them about nor can they see anything wrong with it... Makes for a frustrating situation, when we know we aren't crazy, but they say if they cant duplicate the problem then there is not a way for them to fix something they don't know what is wrong. So pretty frustrating. We are getting the feeling as soon as we drive away from the place something is bound to happen.
Tacoah is now officially part of our family. Back in May we were foster care/babysitting her until her owner could find an apartment that allowed Cats. She was not able to by Dec, and she finally asked if we could keep her. :) Jeff is one happy little kid! haha. He LOVES Coah (we usually just call her Coah), and I think he loves her more than he loves me! haha. Anyways we bought her some Christmas gifts, new cat scratch posts, and she loves them! Finally something to keep her out of my tree, the stinker! She is a cute little cat, but she sure can get herself into trouble! very adorable little thing. I don't have much better pictures of her.

This is sweet newborn Brooklyn! My Cousin Karissa and her husband Jeff did a great Job!(we have a lot of Jeff's in my family, I have two cousins named Jeff, a cousin in law, and my hubby Jeff).

We bought a bedroom set with the money we were going to use to go on the Vacation trip Jeff had planned for me back in Sept, but ever since I got laid off we cancelled that. With the extra money we had, we decided to splurge a little on ourselves. It was well worth it! Sorry no pictures of this.

My Grandpa was helping out with the Idaho Falls Watch Patrol (sorry I forget its actual name) Anyways he worked very hard to get this guy to do his show in IF. He is a magician and an Elvis impersonator, he was so fun to watch and was hilarious. I feel so bad though, not very many people showed up to this, and my Grandpa spent a lot of money to fly him there and to pay for his time there. But I at least enjoyed it with my mom and best friend Ashlie :o)
Oh man... all these pictures of me below, really suck!!! Oh I hate pictures of me! My eyes are all squinty in every one of them! Oh well its of Ashlie and her baby Brody when he was just a week or so old. Oh he's the cutest thing! I love it when I get to see him. I cant believe that he is now 10 months old! aahh!

Eek! My crazy eyes! Oh well. Its a picture for ya :)

This picture is from back in the summer. Its grown quite a bit. We bought it from some Jewish New Yorker ladies that used to live on our street. They were moving and we bought this from them. I really like it.

Um... what else could I write about? Oh yes I've had a lovely time with family. We spent Christmas with both my family and Jeff's. It was so much fun, we did a combined Christmas dinner on Saturday, Brian, Lee, Julie (part of Jeff's family) and my grandparents, mom, April, CJ, Marisa, Tesha and her boyfriend all ate together. It was very nice to spend time with both families! And I got to meet Marisa's Fiance... I mean boyfriend. haha just playin with you sista! We enjoyed a wonderful meal, and had fun playing white elephant. I love that game! Jeff got me a Nook which we've both been having fun with!

New years Day I spent time with my mom's side of the family. A baby blessing (Karissa and Jeff's) and then cousin Andrew's farewell! I am so proud of him! He will be an amazing Missionary and I will miss him! I love spending time with family!!! Well ... that's about it, and sorry not many other pictures either. I really do suck at blogging.

Oh Yes, one more thing! I was called to be a Visiting Teacher for three other ladies in my ward as well as the Relief Society Board Activities Coordinator! Thats all folks!

Joy to the World

I know, its been FOREVER since my last post. I couldn't find where our camcorders cord that connected to the computer so I could download pictures. I finally found it. I dont think I am the best blogger though, I read everyone elses and think... does mine even sound that interesting? haha. To be honest, I'm horrible with taking pictures. But these were worth sharing!! Jeff made these blocks that say Joy, I came home and they were sitting on our DVD case. I LOVE them! :o) He did an awesome job! he cut up boards of wood, painted them, made the sides all framed and then put vinyl on them, and curled up the wire in the back to connect them. How awesome!!!

Here is our 8 foot tree I bought at a yardsale earlier this year for $60 bucks! :) it was well worth it. Heavy and huge and difficult, but I love it.
I just liked the angle of this picture
My first Nativity scene. Thank you momma Julie for buying us this!!! I loove it
Closer picture, look at the detail! so cute!
tall tree
Sighs, Coah cant seek to keep herself away from the tree. kind of part of the reason for the stool under it, she steps on to the branch and tries to climb up. and she eats it! Naughty kitty!
:o) I love these, they say Cherish, Hope, Joy, Love, Peace. light glows through them at an angle and you can put candles in them so they glow more.
Jeff bought this awesome table at overstock while back and we found this perfect center piece, for christmas as well as the rest of the year :)
My sad looking penguin, but I still love him :)

My mom gave me a lot of decorations, thanks mom!!! Helps me out soo much!
This poor guy used to light up, it was really cool. I remember him ever since I was little. My mom gave him to me. he worked the past two years I had them. I turned it on and it worked for a few mins then stopped working. either the bulbs are dead, or he decided to stop working :(
ah, and my christmas tree forest I found at another yardsale. Thanks to my mother in law, Julie, I am going to be going to more yardsales to find more treasures for dirt cheap. $15 for these three. I looked at Tai Pan the other day, and they sold these for $30 each almost. I think I got a good deal. Oh and my 8 ft tree, could cost aprox $400 or so! eek.

:o) well here's my first post in MONTHS! and with pictures.

I just want to say, I really didnt realize how difficult looking for jobs was going to be. Everything that I'm interested in, requires Bachelors, or 2-4 years of experience. I am hoping to get a job more in the psychology field, especially to help me get some experience. I just wish I had my generals done! I applied today for being a Family Advocate, at The Salt Lake Community Action Program/Head Start. Head Start was an amazing program for our family, I was even in it about 15 years ago! This would put my foot into the door for experience. So everyone cross your fingers for me :D

Anyways I now understand how difficult it is to look for a job. I really look up to my mom, must have been difficult for her to find one. Its also amazing even though I have all day to do things, I feel like I hardly have enough time to get them done!

By the way, for those of you that dont know, my mom finally got a job!!! Wahoo way to go mom! :D soo happy for her. I really am she's got an awesome job!

Update on my Uncle Gary

My Uncle Gary has many broken bones after his horrible accident. His back is broken in 2 different places, neck is broken in 2 different places, broken nose, broken cheek bones and jaw - His teeth have been pushed back so he'll need a plate in his mouth and he'll have to have 6 weeks of baby food and liquids, broken hip, sides scrapped up and 6 broken rips. The doctor is worried about his lungs and his hips. He is going to go into surgery for his hips on Monday Sept 5th. These pictures I am posting are kinda graphic so if you have a weak stomach I don't recommend you looking at these pictures. Its a miracle that he is alive.
Gary and his coworker are Uhal truck drivers (Gary does a bunch of other things but I don't remember exactly what his title is), and they were both driving to Missoula on a job. In Dillon, MT, A semi-truck ahead of him tipped and rolled. A car in front of Gary got around the accident. Gary tried to avoid the semi and correcting but he hit the semi, and his co-worker driving behind him, hit Gary. The truck driver who caused the crash died. Gary and his coworker were admitted to Dillon hospital then to the Missoula hospital for further treatment. He was placed in a medical induced coma and on life support. This happened on Monday 29th around 7pm and our family didnt find out till Tuesday Aug 30th around 2ish. They only found out because Gary's boss looked around the news papers and found a crash that sounded like it could be possibly his employees. Anyways I might not have everything here exactly but I wanted to make sure I didnt post any false information, this is as close as I could get it. Below are some pictures.
This is the picture of the Truck he was driving.
The inside, he was wrapped around the inside of the vehicle. There is still some blood you can see.
Gary's amazing Elders who stayed by his side as much as possible. Jen, I thank you so much for being my family's angel and having these two Elders stay by his side, and then you there making sure everything is ok! thank you!
My Uncle with my cousin Alyse
They allowed him to sleep on his side.
This is a difficult picture to look at. Its not horrible, but you can barely tell the damage and its amazing how much the priesthood has helped in his healing and him surviving at all. I love him so dearly, he was like a father to me at times in my life, and I appreciate everything he has done for our family. Its good to know he is surrounded by the gospel and those who love him.

When it rains, it pours but sometimes its really not that bad

We all have trials in our lives. Some may be extremely difficult. Others might not seem that hard and you get through them. Its amazing as to what we see as trials, and to others they think differently.

Well I've had two trials this week. My first one happened Tuesday morning. I got laid off from my job. But I feel proud of myself, I did not cry when they told me that they were downsizing the company, and fortunately there was no good way to say it, but they had to let me go. They were very nice, and so helpful. The VIP said that if I needed any help looking for jobs or needed recommendations just to ask him. I thought that was pretty amazing. They also offered Severance pay for a month, so that will also help out. It does suck because I really did have such a great job. But maybe this will open doors for other opportunities. Maybe I'll find something that I'll enjoy so much more? Who knows. Ok I do need to admit that I did cry when I got home and called my mom, but it was  a good little cry that needed to happen. But after that I felt comfort, and I do not feel worried at all and I'm not mad that I've been let go. Maybe thats a good thing or maybe I'm still in shock?

Thing that was hardest for me was finding out later that day, that my uncle had been in a terrible accident in Dilan, MT and was at the Missoula hospital on life support. Fortunately enough, I had family in Missoula who I asked if she could help my family. Thanks to Jen, she made sure that my uncle had some one with him at all possible times and then amazingly was able to have some of my family members who traveled up, to stay at their in law's 5th wheeler. Thank you so much Jen, you made what could have been a hard and horrible experience for my family, into a wonderful and positive experience. We are so appreciative and grateful to have you in our lives. Thank you so very much. My uncle is now doing fine and will be flying to the Boise hospital for further help and so he is close to his wife and two kids.

Through all of this, I've been pretty ok. Was more difficult hearing about my uncle, and even more hard was that we couldn't make it to Missoula to see him and more family, we decided to turn around when we arrived to Idaho Falls, because we realized we'd be spending more money than we really should be doing at this time, with me not having a job and all. I so very wish I could be around family. But I have an amazing husband who has stuck to my side and has been there for me through all of this. He's even taken off the rest of the week for me. So we wont be going onto our planned trip to Zion's Canyon. that sucks because we were so looking forward to it! But we need to be more wise with our money for now, until we find a job for me :o)

Is anyone else as excited as I am...

Is anyone else as excited as I am... For Halloween?!!! I'm seriously going nuts. I cant wait.

We saw some of the Halloween store's signs up about a week or so ago. Then I noticed the candy corn in the walmart... At first I thought, "Holy crap, summer isn't even over and I haven't even started school, this is ridiculous! They should wait till Sept for heaven sakes!"

But then... I started to think about what we would do with decorations this year and what new things they might have, and this year we could finally get the web gun since Jeff bought an air compressor earlier this year... ooh the possibilities! The fun decoration, the excitement! I LOOOVVVEEE Halloween!

As much as I don't want summer to end, and I am NOT ready for the cold or snow.... I cannot WAIT to get my decorations out!!! I have been looking online at the Halloween stores and seeing what things I might be able to afford to get, and little nick knacks. And how I want to put everything together! I even tried to go to one of the stores, but alas, they are just putting up signs and probably wont be open for several more weeks... but still!!!!!!!! Now they got me thinking about it all the time. And I know this sounds crazy, but some day I want to be those neighbors or people that have such cool stuff, that you have to go to their house to see what they did different this year, and how scary it is! I loved going to houses like that. haha I even want to do a haunted house maze thing for the kids, we had a neighbor who did that (the Egberts, love you guys!), and it was AWESOME!

Well, I guess I just have to wait until then...

Hunter July 4th

Wow I know that I am HORRIBLE with posts, but they just take soo stinking dang long to load up all the pictures on here, and they always get out of order so I have to take time to organize them. And I just like to complain :o) So here is finally a post with pictures! I sadly did not take very many pictures... I always seem to forget about the camera. These are of my mom's side of the family, the Hunter's and this is the little reunion that we had. It was so much fun and so nice to see family! I wish we could have left earlier so we could have been involved with more of the activities! Here are some pictures of the falls and river. We had to take them, because a co worker of Jeff's did not know or believe that there was actual falls in Idaho Falls.. haha so we had to prove to her that there are Falls!!!

Yes my feet... uh dont ask:P

Nice white legs... gross

Brrr its cold!

These following pictures are part of the reunion, these are only the ones from saturday, and I should have taken loads more! Course, I didnt!

This kid is soo dang cute! Even more funny, he cant really say Dump Truck... he really think that he's saying that, but he's really not. We recorded him saying this, I'll have to figure how to get that on here too cuz its hilarious! Even more funny when we told him to say "your a dump truck" :o) love kids.

CANDY!

Then we had a huge Caveman Feast! My aunt planned an entire weekend full of fun activities. She had the family at the Dunes playing fun treasure hunt games and having to have "pirate gold" to buy their candy for a movie night outside, they had rented a HUGE screen to play movies on, was like being at a drive-in. Saturday evening (pictures above) we had a feast, duch oven chicken and potatoes, lots of pastas and mud pies for dessert (made by yours truely). It was soo very good. Later, my cousins introduced a game, I dont know the name, but I made one up. Redneck wars. I'll have to post this in another post because I want to post a video of a few. :o) Well there's some pictures, for now.
